Entry Requirements

Important Criteria

To become a driving instructor you must meet the following DVSA legal requirements:

  • ✔ Aged over 21
  • ✔ Held your licence for 3 years
  • ✔ Max 6 points on your licence

Important Note: Under DVSA rules, if you restart the process, 2 years must pass after passing the Part 1 before you can begin again.
