What You Need to Start Your Driving Lessons
Before you begin your driving lessons, there are a few essential requirements to make sure you’re ready for a safe and successful experience behind the wheel:
Age requirement: You must be at least 17 years old.
Provisional licence: You’ll need a valid provisional driving licence before you can start. Find out how to apply for your provisional licence.
Eyesight check: You must be able to read a standard number plate from 20 metres to meet the legal eyesight requirement.

Every instructor’s car is fitted with a TomTom Start 52 sat nav, the exact same model used by the DVSA during your driving test, so you can practise with confidence and be fully prepared.
